Dynasty Warriors 4 Review
Dynasty Warriors 4, the next Dynasty installment from KOEI, and most probably the best one yet.
I have played (But not completed) most of the DW series (2-4), and the fourth has to be the best one by far, the gameplay is much better then it's predicesers, and the feel of it is supurb. You can attack from anywhere, in the air or ground, elephants and horses are also present, and are very fun to ride!
Dynasty Warriors 4 also excels in the fact that it is much more customizable then it's predicesers, with the abillity to make your own warrior as well as bodyguards, and watch them in action communicate with other guards, show in cutscenes and kick some bad guys ass! Not only that but there are a selection of weapons you can equip your warrior with, and some have to be unlocked. Another difference now is that instead of getting a new more powerful sword by getting a 'get weapon' during battle (that's in DW3), you simply just get the one equiped more experience and stronger that way.
Another great advantage of DW4 is that the storys are far longer then they were before, encrossing 4 acts, and every act you complete, you gain two new characters for each act you complete. Not only that, but you can use your created warrior, for any (or all) of the teams! KOEI have also keep in the challenges and multiplayer mode to keep the player(s) amused.(!)
However, there are a few downsides, one of them is that it has lost some things that were in number 3, like the fact you could upgrade the bodyguards weapons and make them more powerful that way has discintigrated. Also, some people may find this game perhaps a little repetitive, and so may get bored of the game very quickly, even with the new enhancements.
Apart from that DW4 is a supurb game, that can be played and loved by most people.
